Zoho Reports is a powerful online reporting and business intelligence service, with an intuitive drag-and-drop interface that enables in-depth analysis and easy reporting.
Note: The instructions below are meant for someone with more than average technical knowledge. If you are having difficulty, you may wish to consult with an IT contact at your company for assistance.
How To Integrate AccountingSuite with Zoho Reports
Note: You will need to create separate data sources for Daily Snapshots and Financial Performance. In the example below, we will demonstrate how to connect the Daily Snap service.
- Select the Files & Feeds icon to set the source of data. (see figure 1, below)
Configure the Import Your Data Form. (See figure 2, below)
- Enter a name in the Database Name field. Give it a friendly name that describes the data from AccountingSuite.
- Enter a Description. This should give details about what this connection does and what kind of data is retrieved. This field is for you and your co-workers to understand what the connection is for.
- Choose JSON in the File Type drop down.
- Choose the Web radio button in the Data Location field.
Select the URL with Authentication tab.
- Enter the following URL. Replace {account_number} with your 7 digit AccountingSuite Account Number found in the upper left corner of the screen in AccountingSuite. For example: https://apps7.accountingsuite.com/a/1100755/hs/data_mart/daily_snap
- Enter the Username for the AccountingSuite account.
- Enter your password for the AccountingSuite account.
Add Parameters (optional).
- Choose Get in the Method drop-down.
We provide 2 optional parameters for entering the period.
The date format is yyyyMMdd – four digit year, two digit month (from 01 to 12) and two digit day (from 01 to 31).
Parameter Name: BeginOfPeriod, Value: 20160101, Send request as : Parameter.
Parameter Name: EndOfPeriod, Value: 20161231, Send request as : Parameter.
- Click Next.
Complete Import Your Data details. (see figure 3, below)
- Table Name: Give a friendly name for this new Table.
- First row contains column names: Yes.
- Format of date columns: yyyy-MM-dd
- On Import Errors: Set empty values for the column.
- Click Create.
Review the Imported Data Summary from Zoho Reports. (see figure 4, below)
At this point, you can decide to schedule the import by clicking on “Schedule this Import”. - Now you will see the new Table in “Tables & Reports” in the left menu. Follow the Zoho Reports tutorials to create your own Dashboard. (see figures 5 a,b,c, below)
