[2.0] Zapier Integrations

[2.0] Zapier Integrations

Before transferring data (name, email, responses, etc.) from bucket.io to your Email Service Provider (ESP) using Zapier as the integration hub, two things must happen first:

  1. Link or integrate bucket.io with Zapier via API
  2. Set up the integration in your Zapier account

STEP # 1: in bucket.io - Find bucket’s API key

Once logged into bucket.io, click the account profile located at the top-right corner, usually, it has the user’s initials.

  • By clicking under account name or profile, it deploys a drop-down menu, click My Account
  • Click Add New Integration to go to the integrations menu
  • Click the Add Zapier Integration orange button and it will prompt some instructions (to be completed inside Zapier)  along with your bucket API key, save it for the next step.
  • Keep your bucket account open with the API Key window, open Zapier to complete the next step

STEP # 2: In Zapier - Add your Zapier account to bucket.io

  • Log Into your Zapier Account
  • Click Make a new Zap
  • Find Bucket.io 2.0 in the App Search, please be careful not to choose the one that says “bucket 1.2.0 by invitation”, which is not the same as bucket 2.0
  • Select New Lead as the trigger
  • Click Sign In to Bucket.io 2.0 to add your account, it will open a pop up asking to enter your bucket API key (retrieved from step # 1)
  • Copy and paste this API Key in the Zapier pop-up and click Yes, Continue
  • Click the blue Continue button and it will ask to choose an account, make sure the right bucket account show from the drop-down menu, and click the blue continue button again
  • It will display a Customize Lead field asking to enter a verification token code. Leave this open and switch back to bucket to find the verification code

STEP # 3: In bucket.io - Find the Token Verification code

  • Back to the bucket account and from the pop-up with the Zapier instructions and API key, click the Save Integration green button
  • Click “Funnels” at the top navigation menu to go back to your list of funnels. From there, locate the funnel that will be integrated and click Edit (the Edit button is located at the right-hand side of each funnel), represented by a green button with a pen symbol)
  • Click Settings, which will consequently display the settings menu of your Funnel
  • Click Integrations, which will display all of the available apps to integrate with
  • Click the Zapier icon, and this will automatically open a screen with a Verification Token code, keep it since it’s going to be required in Zapier

STEP # 4: In Zapier - Add the Token Verification code

  • Copy the token code provided in bucket, insert it in the Funnel Verification Token field and press tab. This will automatically enable the continue button, click continue
  • This will open the Find Data section asking to test your trigger to confirm connectivity, click the Test Trigger button to bring a sample lead (most likely it’s under a dummy name such as “fake browser”). Click the Continue button to conclude the first step of the Zap

STEP #5: In Zapier - Find your ESP (Email Service Provider)

  • From the Choose App & Event search box type the name of your ESP
  • Choose the trigger event and click the continue button
  • If you have previously added your ESP account it will display at the drop-down menu to choose from, if not, you can always add a new account, most likely you’ll need the API key or API secret from your ESP, the pop-up will prompt what you need to retrieve from your ESP
  • Click Continue and it will display your integration form, now just fill out the form as prompted in Zapier

NOTE: Since forms can vary depending on the ESP we are not adding steps on how to fill out those, but in case you find yourself having difficulties to complete this last step you can either check within Zapier knowledge base for specific instruction related to your ESP or reach out to us for support via support@bucket.io
