Attachments

Overview

Relevant documents received from customers can be attached to service jobs.

Examples of attachments to service jobs are pictures of equipment condition, a serial number/model number from equipment, a paid invoice, an inspection report, maintenance records or a reimbursement form.

Attachments Procedure

  1. Locate and verify the customer record using the Customer Search and Verification procedure.
  2. Select the Attachments tab from the Edit/View Service Job page.
  3. On the Attachments tab, click the Create New button.
  4. Click the Choose File button to open and locate a file saved on your computer.
    1. Acceptable file formats include PDFs, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, picture files (JPEG, PNG, etc.).
  5. Enter a comment in the Comment box.
    1. Comments can include the date the file was received, how it was received (email/fax/mail), etc.
      1. Examples: documentation of the date received and receipt method (mail, fax, email, etc.)
  6. Click the Save button.
    1. A hyperlink to the attachment will appear in the Attachment Form section.
    2. Comments will appear in the Comments section at the bottom of the page.
    3. The Attachments tab will reflect the number of attachments added to the service job.
