Reschedule Service Appointment

Overview

This procedure is used when we need to facilitate rescheduling a service appointment for a customer or Service Provider.

Reschedule Service Appointment Procedure

  1. Locate and verify the customer record using the Customer Search and Verification procedure.
  2. Click the Reschedule button on the Edit/View Service Job screen.
    1. If the Service Provider has schedule availability, it will be displayed in the calendar.
    2. If the Service Provider does not have schedule availability, the reschedule functionality cannot be used. Instead, call the Service Provider to determine a new date and time for the service appointment. The new appointment date and time must be entered in the Comments text box. The Service Provider can update the new date and time in ServiceBench.
  3. Click on the desired time slot to select it.
  4. The Select Time popup box displays to confirm your selection. Click OK to return to the Edit/View Service Job page.
  5. The General Information section of the Edit/View Service Job page will display the newly assigned Service Provider's information in the Service Provider and Service Provider Location fields.
  6. Click the Submit button to save the service job.
    1. In the Reschedule Reason box, enter notes describing the reason for the reschedule and click the Submit button.
    2. The reschedule reason is saved in the Reschedule Reason field in the Service Instructions section of the service job screen on the original service job.
  7. Enter additional notes in the Comment text field as needed.
  8. Click the Save button.
