UpRead - Import content for fast-read

UpRead supports 4 kinds of content: web articles, pdf files, txt files and raw text.

To import a web article open it in Safari and press the share button. You may need to enable the UpRead extension the first time you import an article. Tap the “More” option at the end of the first list of icons, enable UpRead, drag it to the top spot and tap Done.
Now select UpRead and then press Import. Come back to the app and it will extract the text from the article so that you can read it fast.

Here’s a video summarising this on iOS 12 . The user experience may change depending on your iOS version and device.

We support all web browsers and the most common apps containing articles. Safari is the one that works best with UpRead. If you cannot import an article from an app, try to open it with Safari first and then import to UpRead from there.

Importing files is very similar to importing web articles. Instead of using Safari you use the "Files app" and share from there. You can also share files from the "Mail app": hold your finger on any txt or pdf attachment and select share from the menu. UpRead supports pdf and txt files. Make sure the pdf files contain text: UpRead will strip out the images and keep the plain text for you.

The last supported format, raw text, is very flexible. Select the text you want to read from anywhere, then select share and UpRead. See a video showing the import of raw text .
