App Creation FAQ

How long will it take for my app to be live on the Apple App Store?

Apple takes about two weeks of approval time. You'll receive a notification from our team when the app goes live. If it has been two weeks already since your app was submitted and you have no heard back yet, please contact our team and we will assist you.

How long will it take for my app to be live on the Play Store?

Android apps will list on the Google Play Store within several hours of being submitted. Contact our team if you are having troubles finding your app!

How many tab bar icons can I use

You can have 2 - 5 tab bar buttons.

How do I publish my app?

The Publish button does not appear until your app has been submitted to at least one app market. The button then becomes visible in the bottom right corner of the EMBR platform. This button serves as the place for you to publish content updates to those who have downloaded your app. When you do this, iOS users will need to tap the small "Refresh" button in the top right corner of their home screen to get the update. Android users will get it automatically.

Can I have different app designs for the different platforms that I submit my apps on?

Yes, you are able create a separate design for each app submission. We generally recommend using the same design across all platforms for consistency, but we will ensure that user functions will remain the same across platforms. Your App will appear slightly different depending on what type of device you are viewing it on.

How many buttons should be on the home screen?

We recommend having about 6 or 7. More than 7 buttons often requires a scroll.

What do I do if my app's Home Screen is not visible?

Sorry for the inconvenience! Please contact our team with the name of the app, and if possible, a brief description of the problem so that we can recreate the issue.
