How do I create a Green Screen Border?

1. In your Darkroom software, go to the Setup tab
2. When in the Setup screen, select Products & Services from the setup tree
3. Next, Select Templates
4. Select Borders

5. Within Borders, select the desired border group or create a new group by selecting Create a New Group
6. Select New at the upper right of the window to create a new border in the Border Workshop.



7. In the dialog that pops up, you must give the border a Description (This is what the software will display as the name of the border)
8. Select your Page Size to match the media of your final output.
9. Select the Orientation (Horizontal or Vertical)
10. Select the Resolution to match the Pixels Per Inch of your output device and click OK



11. Click Add Graphic (The Graphic Object box will open).



12. Click Browse
13. Browse and select the graphic file you wish to use as a background and click Open, then OK.  If necessary, resize the image by dragging the blue dots, or use the fill & fit page control on the right hand side of the screen



14. Click Add Photo (The Photo Object box will open).
15. In the Options section under Transparency select Chroma-key (Green-screen or Blue-screen background).



16. Click OK (A white number 1 will appear in the center on top of your background).
17. Click Save Changes
18. Save your new border in this location X:\Templates\Borders



You will need to select this border in the Photo Workshop in order for you to use the Green-screen functionality.
      a. Choose the photo workshop tab and select an image shot against a green screen or blue screen backdrop.
      b. Set the border group you wish to use by clicking borders, Set Border Group, then the border group.



      c. Choose the background you wish to use by clicking borders, Choose Border. You can also use the keyboard shortcut B.



      d. Click on the border you wish to use.



      e. Your image and border will be composted using the current drop out settings.
