Yes. To download email messages to your email program and also leave a copy on Webmail, set your program’s  Advanced account settings to  Leave a copy of messages on the server .

Note: Doing this may leave email messages on Webmail until you delete them from Webmail. Make sure to occasionally delete some messages from Webmail, otherwise, your mailbox will become full and stop receiving emails.

Special note for IMAP users: If you are using IMAP to check your email, make sure all of your devices and email programs checking that address are also set to use IMAP. Having different devices using POP and IMAP on the same email address can cause messages to not be saved when you view them in IMAP.  If you must use POP, make sure to set it to  Leave a copy of messages on the server if you want to see those messages with IMAP on another device.

I have lost the password for my email account, how do I gain access to it?

For security reasons we don’t keep a copy of your password. At any time you can change your email password by logging into the Control Center at control.earthlink.net or call us on our toll-free number 1-800-955-0186. We recommend frequently changing your passwords to prevent your account from being compromised.

How many email addresses can I have with my EarthLink Web Hosting account?

EarthLink Web Hosting offers a wide range of plans depending upon your needs. The number of mailboxes may differ from plan to plan. To know the number of email address available for your account visit The Control Center at  https://control.earthlink.net .

How much storage do I have for each email address online?

EarthLink offers 3 GB of storage per email address online. You can check the status for your storage by logging into Webmail:  https://hostingmail.earthlink.net . Once logged in, click on the  Preferences option from the left navigation bar and select  Data Usage .

Should I use Webmail or configure my Mail Client, what’s best?

You can use both or choose to use either one. EarthLink’s Webmail 7.0 comes with a wide range of features which can be found on the following link:  Introduction to Web Hosting Webmail 7.0

Using a Mail Client:

You can use a Mail Client to send and receive messages. The advantage of using a Mail Client is that the emails get stored on your Computer (using POP settings), and they can also be stored on the server by selecting  Leave a copy of messages on the server . You can read your downloaded emails without connecting to the internet and compose while offline. Once connected again to the internet, the emails can be sent.
