Setting up a Teacher Assigned Common Assessment

Description

Common Assessments allow other team members to use the same assessment so that data for all students is compiled in one set of reports. To be ready, the assessment must be:

1) locked/marked as a Common Assessment and
2) in an Edcite Schools Folder that teachers have access to

If you need help setting up folders or giving folder access, here is a guide on User Management or you can email schools@edcite.com with the subject “Folder Setup” for help.

Note: The creator of the assignment is the only user who can unlock or edit the assessment. You can either contact the owner or use admin permissions to sign in as them.  From the admin account (and sub admin accounts with permission) you can login to any teacher account you can see on the View Teachers page. Just click on their name to login then press the Log in as button.

How to Lock

Directions

1. Once the assessment is ready to be used, mark it as Active in the Assignment Editor.

2. The next step is to lock it/mark it as a common assessment. To do this, click the lock symbol. Note - for teacher assigned common assessments, the settings flow from the original copy out to to teachers. If you set something, it will be set for all teachers who copy the assignment. If you do not set something, teachers will have the choice to set it or not.

3. The final steps is to share the assessment into an Edcite Schools folder. To do this, click the Share button and then select the appropriate folder. The assessment is now ready for teacher to assign to their students.
