Classes - Set a class password

Classes - Set a class password

Edcite does not share student passwords for security reasons. Teachers can, however, set a 'class password' so students can log in with that password and then change their own passwords. They will need to know their userids to login.

Here are the steps to set a class password:

From the main navigation bar, go to Roster and then to Classes and then click on your class card.

The list of students should come up with an 'Edit Class' button on the right. See screenshot.

Click on the 'Edit Class' button to get a popup window where you can see the 'Generate' link for the class password.

When you click on the 'Generate' link, you get a password that you can share with your class.
