Firewall Requirements

Edcite is delivered entirely through a browser. Hence, it is important to ensure that your school (or district) network does not impair or block Edcite at the network firewall.

Edcite primarily uses these urls:

  1. (www.)edcite.com
  2. ufiles.edcite.net
  3. s3.amazonaws.com
  4. cdnjs.cloudflare.com
  5. maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com
  6. cdn.datatables.net
  7. ajax.googleapis.com
  8. fonts.googleapis.com
  9. unpkg.com
  10. use.fontawesome.com
  11. cdn.jsdelivr.net
  12. gitcdn.github.io
  13. cdn.rawgit.com

Please enable these to ensure that teachers and students have the best experience on Edcite.

Additional Notes:

Assignments on Edcite are created by teachers and shared in our Assignment Library.  Some assignments use external resources--Flickr, YouTube, etc.--that may be blocked by your school/district. If so, such assignments will not display fully if resources are blocked by the firewall.

Therefore, we recommend adding these websites to the whitelist:

  • archive.org

  • vimeo.com

  • schooltube.com

  • teachertube.com

  • Phet.colorado.edu

  • drive.google.com (for reference sheets)

  • docs.google.com (for reference sheets)

For more help on this or any other topics, please contact hello@edcite.com.
