Quick links are an easy way for teachers to assign students assignments. Here are a few notes on quick links:
Great way to get started quickly without creating accounts for students
Students are not required to sign in when they use the quick link - if they do not sign in their work is not saved to their account but as a submission with whatever name they write
If you are using the link and your students do have accounts, it is recommended that they sign into their Edcite accounts when using a quick link. You can enable a setting that requires students to sign in when using quick links (click here for more information)
Follow these step by step instructions to use quick links / start codes with your students:
1. Find an assignment you want to send using the quick link. This could be in the Assignment Library, Collections page or your My Assignments page.
2. Click the green Assign button, this will open the scheduler popover.
3. Choose the tab that says "Start Code" at the right side. At the bottom of the tab, you will find information on how to use start codes.
5. Send the link to your students, add it to your Google Classroom or post to anywhere students can access it.
6. When your students go to the quick link URL, they will be asked to either sign in or enter their name without an account. Encourage your students to Sign In to their account so that you can access the data and reports for the assignment.
6. Once your students have signed into their Edcite accounts, instruct them to click the Start Assignment button to start working on their assignment.
