Personalized Learning Plans: PLPs and IEPs

The Personalized Learning Plan tool is a powerful way to adjust expectations for students.

Users can
  1. select and deselect standards that students are responsible for
  2. adjust the level of proficiency expected on a given standard
  3. create template plans
  4. assign plans to students
  5. record accommodations for learners

If a student has a PLP, Empower will not display standards that the student is not responsible to master. Empower will also account for the custom expectation when calculating things like final scores, course scores, and pace.

IEPs are similar in Empower, but are used for informational purposes only, whereas PLPs adjust the expectations within Empower. To enter IEPs for learners, start with the PLP manager.

Teachers and administrators can see the IEP from a learner's headshot.
