Accudemia: How do I connect to my Virtual Appointment as a Tutor using Zoom Integration?

Introduction

This article is to explain a couple alternatives to connecting to your meetings if you are a Tutor in Accudemia when using the new Zoom Integration.
Warning! If you are currently using the "ConnectLink" with a Zoom URL this Knowledge Base article is not for you.  Instead simply connect to your Zoom URL or PMI (Personal Meeting ID) that is used for the "ConnectLink" on your account in Accudemia.

These are the best alternatives for connecting to your "Zoom Integration" meeting as a Tutor that I have found if you find issues connecting from using the Join Session button on the Accudemia "home" screen:

Step-by-Step

Option #1:  Connecting from the Zoom app itself and selecting the daily session that should automatically be created

  1. Click on the Zoom icon on your computer to open the Zoom Desktop app.

  2. Login to the Zoom desktop app.
  3. Click the daily session, typically is named like "Session Tues. Nov. 10" created for your meetings:
  4. You should be available for your students in the online session now.
NOTE:  If you are not using Zoom Integration then this daily session will not existed or you may need to connect your Tutor account under the Preferences > Virtual Meetings section on your Tutor account.

  1. Click on your name when logged in as a Tutor in Accudemia and then select Preferences.

  2. Next you'll click on the Virtual Meetings section.

  3. And in this next section click on the "Join as a Host" link at the bottom of the page.
  4. Done! Enjoy your session.
