Accudemia: How do I make virtual walk-in links easily accessible on the home page?

Introduction

The Home Page Designer in Accudemia can be used to keep virtual walk-in links easily accessible to all users. These links will be permanently (until taken down) locked onto every user's home page for ease of access. This article will explain how to use the Home Page Designer to create virtual walk-in links for all users to easily access.

Step-By-Step

1. Create a virtual walk-in.

For instructions on how to create a virtual walk-in, follow this link.

2. Navigate to Administration > Control Panel and select the "Announcements" module.

3. Select either a Center or the entire college as the scope, then click View Settings.

4. Under "Welcome Text," write out a message and click the link button to begin pasting links.

It's a good idea to preface each link with a description of what it's for to inform users.

5. Paste the links to the virtual walk-ins in the "To what URL should this link go?" textbox, then type a message that will appear as the link in "Text to Display" and click Insert Link.

Whatever is typed in "Text to display" is what will appear as a link to be clicked on, and it will send the user to whatever link was pasted into "To what URL should this link go."

6. Review the message to make sure it's correct, then click Save Changes.

Navigate back to the home page to see the new announcement. All users will be able to see these links.
