Conference Tracker: How do I link my session with OBS?

Introduction

In Conference Tracker you can stream content from several sources like ZOOM, Youtube, and OBS, in this KB article we are describing how to configure Conference Tracker and OBS to make it happen.

Step-By-Step

1-Login to Conference Tracker at https://conftrac.com/ 



Select the correct Conference from the list (if there is more than one) and type in your password:




2- Create a Session or use an existing Session:

Go to Conference > Sessions: 


Click the blue Create button  to build a new session, or select an existing session from the list and click Edit (as shown in the next screen):




3-Setting Session "Attendance Mode":

After typing the session basic information go to the Attendance Mode section and select Online:



3-Setting Session Streaming info:
Go to the Streaming section, and set the Service as Built-in


Scroll down and click  the button Save Changes



4- Start streaming the session:

Go to the Session list, select the 3 dots to the right of the session name, and choose the option Start Streaming:




Next click on the button Start Setup button:(this will not start the session yet, this is still configuration steps)



It will take a few seconds for the streaming to start, please be patient we need some information that will be shown shortly. 

A few moments later a message similar to this one will be shown below, the values highlighted in Yellow and Green will be needed for configuring OBS, by clicking the "Copy to click board" link on each of the 2 rows you can copy each value.



5-Configuring OBS

Open OBS and click on File--> Settings:





Now select the Stream menu on the left, now on the right in "Service" select "Custom"  and notice that there are 2 fields for Server(1) and Stream Key(2), these are the values that we need from the previous step 4, copy each value from the Conference Tracker screen to the OBS screen:




Click OK in OBS:


6-Start streaming from OBS:
Click "Start Streaming" in OBS:



In the OBS app you will notice some information about the live streaming process such as the frames per second and more in the bottom of the screen:


Now user can see the live stream if they click the "Watch now" button on their Conftrac screen they  should be able to watch the stream:




Please notice that there will be a few seconds delay between the original streaming video and the Conference Tracker screen.
