Conference Tracker: How do I use Social Walls?

Introduction

In Conference Tracker, users can take advantage of Social Walls to interact with others by sending/receiving messages, files, and ratings. There are 3 different types of Social Walls:
  • Conference Social Wall - Everyone at the conference can access this Social Wall.
  • Session Social Walls - Each session (a workshop, speaking event, etc.) has its own Social Wall for participants.
  • Personal Social Wall - Each user has their own Social Wall.

This article will explain how to reach each of the three Social Walls, as well as how to use them.

NOTE: Not all user roles will have access to every Social Wall.  Contact an administrator for additional assistance.

Step-By-Step

Conference Social Walls

1. Navigate to the home page and select a Conference.

2. Access the Conference Wall by clicking the Social Wall button.



Session Social Walls

1. Navigate to the menu and click Sessions.



2. Select a session from the list.



3. Click the Social Wall button on the bottom (the three speech boxes).



Personal Social Wall

1. Click on any user's name.


2. Click the Social Wall button on their profile to access their Personal Social Wall.



Using the social wall

Once inside one of the three social walls, scroll to see past messages or write a new one using the textbox to add to the wall.


To send attachments, click the + button next to the textbox. From here:
  1. Take a picture and send it using the Camera button.
  2. Send a picture from the device's gallery using the Gallery button.
  3. Upload a document using the Documents button.
  4. Leave a note using the Notes button.
