Setting up a virtual box office (customers can buy tickets on their own smart devices, once they arrive at your event)

A virtual box office allows your customers to purchase tickets to your event when they arrive, without having to go through a traditional box office. With a virtual box office, your customers would simply scan a QR code with their internet-connected smartphone or tablet, and go through the ticket checkout process online.

It is recommended that your virtual box office area has mobile connectivity. This will ensure prospective attendees can purchase their virtual tickets with ease. If the area has poor connectivity, it is recommended that you arrange free Wi-Fi for your attendees.
It is important that you consider which tickets you wish to be available for sale at your virtual box office. When a customer scans your virtual box office QR code, they will be redirected to your ticket select page. If you need to restrict or provide access to specific ticket types on certain days of your event, you should do so when configuring your tickets via the 'Limit Sales' functionality. For more information please see the article 'Step 4 - Create Your Tickets'.

To create your virtual box office, first, log in to your event dashboard.  From your event dashboard, click the 'Event Management' tab. Then scroll down and click the 'Event Details' tab.  Then click the 'Get Virtual Box Office QR Code' button.

Once you have clicked on the button the following page will appear allowing you to download your virtual box QR code in either an EPS, PNG, or JPG format for use on your marketing or on-site signage needs. Save this file to your computer when prompted.

Share this file with your marketing or design team to ensure you have striking signage ready for use near your event entrance or surrounding areas.

Below is one example of the virtual box office signage. Note: The QR code below is for illustrative purposes only, do not use this QR code at your event!
