How to Publish, Update and Unpublish your Project

Publishing Your Project

Publishing your Project turns it into a live website accessible via a unique URL. This URL can be shared just as any other site, sent in emails, or embedded in social media.

  1. Select the project you want to publish and open it in the editor.
  2. Click on the Rocketship publish button in the top bar above the Right Inspector Bar.

  3. If your project is unpublished, the indicator will be red
  4. Click on the blue Publish button in the message window to publish your project.
    Publish Project Dialog Window
  5. The unique URL for your project will be shown under Destination  in the Publish Projects window
  6. To view published changes, navigate to the page URL on desktop or mobile.
  7. The circle next to the Rocketship will turn green.

Publishing Updates (Republishing)

When the Rocketship icon is orange, the option to Republish will be displayed in the Publish menu, indicating that the design has changed. To update the published version of your site, click on the Republish button in the Publish menu.

  1. Click on the Publish icon in the top toolbar to open the Publish menu.
  2. Click on the Republish button to update your site with the latest changes
  3. The circle next to the Rocketship will turn green
  4. To view published changes, navigate to the page URL on desktop or mobile.

Unpublishing a Project

If you no longer wish for your site to be available online, you can unpublish it. Unpublishing a project does not delete it, but it makes it inaccessible from the web.

  1. Click on the Publish icon in the top toolbar to open the Publish menu.
  2. Click on the Unpublish  button
  3. The circle next to the Rocketship will turn red
  4. You may need to wait a few minutes for the changes to take effect, but navigating to your site will result in a "404 -- Site not Found"
