Add Parts

Add Parts

This article provides a walkthrough of how to add parts to your FleetSquared system.

  1. Parts can be managed and added from the Part Master screen.  Open the Parts menu and select Part Master.

  2. To add a new part number, click on the New Part link at the top right of the Part Master screen.  Note:  A part number "SHOP" will be added automatically.  This is a generic part number that some shops use for miscellaneous items.

  3. The part number, description, a stocking unit of measure (UOM), product group, and cost are all required fields.  You can set a default preferred vendor by entering their name in the vendor field, or click on the green plus to add the vendor to your system.  This is an optional field.

Click OK to save the new part.
If the new part needs to be linked to a core part, click on the Select Core Part link.  Click here to review our core part FAQ.
