IOS User Guide - Tutorial - Preparation

If you have time it can be really useful to do a little preparation before recording. If you're going to be recording a lecture, read through the slides beforehand. If you're recording a meeting then look through the agenda items.

Back in the app you can then create a custom Colour Key to help you get the most out of your recording.

  • Press the Settings button (1)

  • Scroll down and select Edit Colour Keys

  • Tap on a key to edit it. Or
  • Use the + button (4) to add a new key. Or
  • To create a copy of a key, use the select button (2) and then press the copy button (5).
  • The default key is shown by the tick (1)
  • You can delete keys be using Select (2) and then Delete (3)
  • Create a key that fits what you're going to be recording, Create colours for things like:
    • Key topics in your lesson
    • To answer a specific essay question
    • Each agenda item in your meeting
    • Different speakers
    • Each question in an interview
    • Marking things you didn't understand

You can set the default key here too. The default will be used when you start recording, but you can always change it from settings in the recording screen.
