Reference Guide: 6.1 Screen Capture

Audio Notetaker has the ability to capture images from any portion of your computers screen. This is a really useful tool while working with on-line presentations especially in conjunction with capturing your computers output.

See the tutorial  Record an On-line Video with Screen Capture and Output Recording

Click on the camera icon on the tool bar or Ctrl+SHIFT+C. This will bring up a transparent window frame:

Whilst active this window frame will always be visible on your screen. To close it click on the X in the top right corner.

Navigate to the screen where the image you want to capture is. Click and drag the Screen Capture Window over your image and resize the Screen Capture window by dragging the frame itself.

The Square image button  will expand the frame to cover the active window, the crossed arrows  will expand the window to cover the entire screen.

Capture your screen shots using the camera button  which will insert the captured image into a new section. On the main Audio Notetaker tool bar, the Insert Section Break Button can also be used in the same way.

You can also use ENTER to capture your image and the generic short cut keys Shift+PrintScreen or Ctrl+Shift+PrintScreen (we have included both as you may have other applications open that also use one (or both) these shortcuts).
