How to Export Contact Details When an Employee Leaves the Company?

Contact details are one of the essentials for any business, no matter if it is leads, vendors, or any other business related contacts. It is often a challenge to get hold of all the contacts that an employee has, especially when they decide to leave the organization.

If you have faced a similar issue or looking for a convenient way to get all the contact details from your employee’s, team member’s, or colleague’s G Suite account, then we are going to tell you TWO ways to easily get the ownership of those contacts.

The first is to export and then import all the contact details and the second one is to simply share the contact details with complete ownership, without downloading or uploading any file.

In order to export contacts from your employee’s G Suite account, you need to reset the password from Google Admin first so you can log in to the user account. Once you have the access to the employee account, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Google Contacts and click on Export in the left side menu (third last option)

  1. In the newly opened popup, choose the contacts you want to export and choose the option as per your desire and click “Export”

Now your contacts are easily exported. In order to import these contacts to another G Suite account, follow these steps.

  1. Go to Google Contacts and click on Import in the left side menu (fourth last option)

  1. In the newly opened popup, you need to click on “Select file” and select the file you have exported earlier. Then click on Import

All the contacts are now imported into your G Suite account. There is another way to take the ownership of all the contacts from any employee if they decide to leave the organization.
