Have you received an email sent to a Google Group like managers@YOURCOMPANY.com or something similar and wondered who else is the part of it? Especially if you have to share some confidential information that cannot be sent to someone who is not authorized to get it.


Worry not! Now you can see the members of your Google Group without even opening a new tab on your browser. Just a couple of clicks on the right side of your Gmail screen and you will see all the members with their contact details right in front of you. Here’s how!



Before we begin, if you are using the Gmail add-on of Shared Contacts for Gmail then you can skip the installation process.


Installing Gmail add-on of Shared Contacts for Gmail:

  1. Open your Gmail and click on the “+” button found on the right side of your window, as shown below



  1. In the newly opened popup, type “Shared Contacts for Gmail” in the search bar and hit Enter key 


  1. Now click on the Shared Contacts for Gmail Add-on

  1. Click Install button and allow the permissions to the add-on to install it on your Gmail


  1. When installed, you will see the Shared Contacts for Gmail icon on the right side of your screen


How to see the members of a Google Group from Gmail?

  1. Open the email that is sent to a group and click on the Shared Contact icon on the right side of your Gmail screen.


  1. You will see contact details of recipient and sender in the panel. If you scroll down, you will see the Google Group. Click on the arrow of this group.


  1. Here you can see the names and email addresses of all members that are the part of this Google Group.
