How to Share the Contact Details of Sender and Recipients of an Email in Gmail?

Want to quickly share the contact details of the recipients and the sender of the email you have just received with your colleague? You have come to the right place!

Note: Before we begin, if you are already using the Gmail add-on of Shared Contacts for Gmail then you can skip the installation process.

Here’s the two-minutes process of installing Shared Contacts for Gmail Add-On

Open your Gmail and click on the “+” button found on the right side of your window, as shown below.

In the newly opened popup, type “Shared Contacts for Gmail” in the search bar and hit Enter key.

Now click on the Shared Contacts for Gmail Add-on.

Click Install button and allow the permissions to the add-on to install it on your Gmail.

When installed, you will see the Shared Contacts for Gmail icon on the right side of your screen.

Now, let’s move to the main question of how you can share the contact details of an email sender and recipients in Gmail.

Open the desired email and click on the Shared Contacts for Gmail add-on icon on the right side of your screen. You will see the contact details of the sender and the recipient on the right panel. Select all as per your need and click on Add to Labels.

Now you will see the labels options. Here you can add a new label or select an already created one from the list. Create and/or select your desired label and Click on Save.

Once you have added them a label, hover over the label and you will see a button to share the label. Click on it and enter the email of your desired contact. Click on the Share button and your label, along with the contacts have been shared with them.

That’s all! The contacts of sender and recipients have been shared, which does not only include the email address, but also includes phone, company details, notes and more, just like you have them in any CRM. Next time it will take you half the time and that’s what makes Shared Contacts for Gmail special.

Additionally, if you have mistakenly shared your contacts with someone who was not supposed to have the access then here's how you can unshare these contacts.
