Why we must charge fees:
Human Hotel charges booking fees to help cover the costs of keeping all these great communities and partner platforms running. This means paying to use servers, messaging services, payment processors, host insurance, GDPR compliance and anything else necessary to ensure that as many people as possible have safe access to affordable, sustainable accommodation.
We are a small team who are dedicated to the idea that homesharing can be a powerful force for change in the world. We're doing the best we can with our limited resources to create fairer alternative to big booking sites and keeping our fees as low as possible - because cost should never be a barrier to anyone.
- The aim of creating this network is that it becomes sustainable in the long term and able to support climate/social/environmental actions and meetings anywhere in the world through homesharing.
- In order for this to happen it needs to be on a sustainable footing, covering its costs which would mean a small fee for each booking.
