Fair Pricing Guide

Fair Pricing Guide

We understand that everyone is in a different financial situation and have created this guide to help make the platform work for all. This is true for our guests as well - it is important to us that people from all backgrounds are able to come to Rebellion to make it as justice-centered and accessible as possible.

Fair Pricing Guide - Hosts

Hosting someone in your home can come with some additional costs that not everyone can take on - utilities (electricity, heating, water, etc.), cleaning products, time spent on household labour, and other expenses. We have therefore created this guide to help select a price per night that works for you.

We hope that people from all different walks of life are able to host during Rebellion and invite you to use these three pricing bands to help select a fair price for your room. If you are prohibited from renting or subletting for profit, please select £0.

Fair Pricing Guide - Guests

Please note Human Hotel charges a fee of £7.30/$10 (per guest) for 1-2 nights when booking a room listed for free (£0) by a host. Each extra night after is just £3.60/$5 (per guest).

From Monday 2nd August 2021, stays of 7 nights or more will automatically receive a 50% discount on Human Hotel’s fees when booking on the Rebel Homestay Network.

Human Hotel have learnt from experience that completely free accommodation can often result in guest ‘no shows’ due to there being a lower commitment on the side of the guest when no cost is attached to a booking. It has also been noted that guests can feel more comfortable receiving free accommodation when there is a small donation being made in exchange. The nominal fee charged by Human Hotel contributes towards the maintenance and development of the platform as an ethical, green and community-minded accommodation solution.
