In response to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, we are providing the following COVID-19 Cancellation Policy coverage to help support our community and allow our members to take safety precautions without incurring financial risks. Please monitor this page for updates along the coming weeks.

As a host and traveller, you may unintentionally risk contributing to the spread of coronavirus and it is therefore extremely important that you take the right measures when deciding to travel or host. Make sure to check your local government's policies and tips on travel and engaging in public life. COVID-19 is still rapidly spreading and very easily contagious. 

No matter what the host's personal cancellation policy is on your booking, bookings are eligible for a 100% refund (minus payment processing fees by Stripe, Paypal or similar) under our COVID-19 Cancellation Policy if the host's home country has a partial or complete travel ban at the time of cancellation.

Once the host's country travel ban has been lifted, the booking's cancellation policies revert back to the host's chosen policy (see policies here)

Hosts are eligible to cancel confirmed bookings without incurring negative effects on their account if the host's home country and/or the guest's home country has a partial or complete travel ban at the time of cancellation.

The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic has already put an enormous amount of personal and financial stress on all of us. The following weeks will no doubt be one of the biggest challenges to get through, and so our thoughts are with everyone affected. Small businesses that work in the travel and hospitality industry, like Human Hotel, have been hit extremely hard and have been forced to take serious measures in order to continue on. However, true communities are resilient, and Human Hotel will still be here when it's safe and possible for you to travel, host and meet like-hearted people again.
