UAX / UAV doesn't give display

UAX / UAV doesn't give display

After installing your UAX or UAV upgrade, if you notice that you have a black screen. This is caused by one of two issues:

  1. The Genie didn't produce a green LED to properly program the vehicle to turn on the radios screen. To fix this:

    1. If you have a 2018+ Year Chrysler, Dodge, Ram or Jeep vehicle, you'll need a bypass module we send out. That bypass module is plugged into the vehicle, before turning on the vehicle.

    2. If you don't, simply turn on the vehicles engine, let it run for 1 minute, while the engine's running, plug in the OBD Genie into you OBD II port, wait for the LED light on the Genie to turn green, take out the Genie, then turn off the vehicle for 5 minutes. (If you have a push to start, make sure the key's away from the vehicle for 5 minutes.)

    3. If that doesn't work do a CANBUS RESET the repeat the above steps:

    4. CANBUS reset:
    5. • Remove positive and negative cables from the vehicle battery.
    6. • Touch and hold the cables together for  5 - 10 seconds.
    7. • (if you have a diesel, disconnect both batteries, then do one battery at a time)
    8. • (If you have ESS on a newer vehicle ONLY disconnect the negative don't touch them together as you will also have a second battery)
    9. • Let the vehicle sit for 10 minutes.
    10. • Reconnect terminals.
    11. • With all doors closed, lock the vehicle and let it sit for 15 minutes.
    12. • Start vehicle with the door open.
    13. • Let vehicle run for 5 minutes.

  1. You didn't use the new LVDS cable that came with the kit, that connects your radio module to the back of the screen/bezel to give it a visual feed, or it isn't fully connected.
      It'll be this wire:

UAV
