How to enable your motor from a digital input

Problem

I have a motor connected to my drive and I want to configure its enabling/disabling with an external digital input. What steps do I need to follow in order to achieve this?

Steps

• First of all, you need to go to Enable-DIisable window in MotionLab and enable the tab that says "Enable/Disable motor state is automatically controlled by the drive". What this will do is that the drive will try to enable the motor every time after it's powered on. This first step can be done as it's shown in the following picture:
  

• After enabling this option, we need to map the functionality of the digital input to the "Motor Enable" feature in the Inputs Outputs window or otherwise, the drive will enable the motor automatically. This mapping of the functionality to the digital input can be done as it is shown in the following image in which we took GPI1 as the input to control the enabling of the motor:
  

• After mapping the functionality to the input, you should now be able to control the enabling/disabling of the motor from your external digital input signal with the MotionLab software opened or closed (it does not matter).
