Customizing the registration form for a group - RSVP Option (Updated 20-NOV-20)

Why require an RSVP?     

Requiring an RSVP from group members isn't always required, but it is crucial to know the number of people attending in scenarios such as these: space is limited (social distancing during mass), there is food served, or course materials need to be ordered. The Mission Suite's RSVP feature can be enabled or disabled from the registration form as outlined below.
 
1. Login to the Mission Suite. Select the Grow-Groups icon.


2. From the Group overview page, select the Group in which you want to customize the registration form. To create a new group, refer to Setting up a Grow group (ideal for small groups)


3a. On the Group detail page, ensure the Registration form is toggled ON (blue).
3b. Click the Customize Form icon 


4. This form contains many options for customizing the member registration form. In this document, we are focusing on the RSVP or Event Registration feature. 
4a. Ensure the Enable attendees to RSVP for scheduled events is toggled ON (blue).
4b. Select which events in this group should be included in the registration form (for the member to send their RSVP)
4c. Now, click Update to save your changes.

5. Now, when a member registers for a group, he or she will be able to RSVP to each of the events within the group as defined by you.


RSVP features - safeguarding your data      

It is important to note that however the RSVP option is set up, the event occurrence or event dates cannot be changed once RSVPs have been made. This is because it will skew the RSVPs that have already been collected. If you need to change an event's occurrence or a date of an occurrence, it is best to set up a new group. This will ensure the RSVP data collected thus far will remain in each member's Person Profile.
