Deactivate People from a Group

Deactivate People from a Group

You can deactivate a member or volunteer from a specific group. This is a helpful alternative to deleting an individual from a group. When you delete an individual from a group, the group detail is permanently removed from the individual's faith journey. By deactivating the person from the group instead, the group or session detail remains in the faith journey and they are designated as an Inactive member of that group.

1. From the home screen, select the People Profiles icon.

2a.   To filter the results and find the individual more easily, enter the first few letters of the Last Name (or in any field) in the search window.
2b. When located, click on the person's last name to be taken to their Profile.

3a. From the individual's profile, select the Faith Journey tab. A list of all past and current experiences will be displayed. You can also navigate to the Journey Points tab and select the group from the dropdown menu.
3b. Locate the experience from which you want to deactivate them and select View Details.

4a. On the Faith Journey detail page, click the Inactive button.
4b. Click Save.

The individual's status for this group will now show as Inactive, with the group detail remaining in their faith journey.
