General navigation

TMS is highly customisable and the information and features available to you may be different from those shown here. The following includes the different ways to navigate around TMS:

  • Header pane — a drop-down panel which opens when you click TMS in the header of a page. The Header pane displays links to the TMS features available to you.

  • Dashboard — the page you see when you log in to TMS. The Dashboard is customisable and displays links and provides access to the TMS features available to you and to other useful information.

  • Menu widget — a Dashboard Widget displaying menus of links to the TMS features available to you.

  • Shortcuts widget — a Dashboard Widget displaying shortcuts to the TMS features available to you.

  • Left-hand navigation pane — a navigation pane opened by clicking the menu icon at the top-left of a page in TMS. It typically contains the Close action, to close the page you are viewing. It may also contain additional actions and links to other TMS features relevant to the page you are viewing.

  • Right-hand details pane - a details pane opened by clicking the three dots at the top-right of a page in TMS. This pane is used to show additional information and actions for an item selected on the page you are viewing.

The navigation pane opens on the left-hand side of the page. The actions and links displayed in the pane differ depending on which page you are viewing. For example, if you are viewing a clocking page, the navigation pane contains a link to the Recent clockings page and the Close action:

The Close action closes the page or feature you are viewing and returns you back to the previous page.

You may see a details pane displayed at the right of certain pages in TMS. This pane is used to show additional information and actions for an item selected on the page you are viewing.

For example, if you are able to make TAS clockings, details of your current job is displayed in the right-hand pane of a TAS clocking page:

You can show or hide the pane by clicking the three dots at the top-right of the page.
