Group planner preferences

A Supervisor can access the Group planner preferences by selecting System preferences from the drop-down header pane and selecting Calendar from the feature list. Alternatively, when a Supervisor is on the Group planner page, a Preference icon is available in the Supervisor toolbar to open the Modify Preferences page:




Clicking on the icon opens the Modify Preferences page for Calendar. Any Preferences set in this page are associated with the current User profile (Supervisor) and are used for the Grid and Timeline layouts of a calendar and the Group planner feature:




The Display section allows a Supervisor to select up to two additional fields to display under the Employee ID on the Group planner. The following example has an additional fields added to display the Department  information of the Employees:




The Sort section enables a Supervisor to select how the Employees in the planner will be ordered by selecting which fields to sort by from a drop-down list in 'Employee sort order'.


Note: the options available for selection in Employee sort order can be set in System preferences > Interface > Employee sort fields.


If the preference 'Display headers for sort fields' has been selected, Employees will be grouped by the first field selected in 'Employee sort order' and a header will be displayed for each grouping. In the following example, Employees have been grouped by shifts:




Click Submit to save the Preferences and return to the Group planner page.
