How to create a non depersonalised Flexipay backup

How to create a Flexipay backup (non depersonalised)

The following instructions explain how to create a backup of your payroll directory within Flexipay and how to upload it securely via the Mitrefinch Support website.  Please note that this method does not depersonalise any data, therefore this should only be performed if specified by Mitrefinch Support.  If you would prefer to provide depersonalised data (all personal data such as names, addresses, NI numbers and bank account numbers are randomised) then we can provide alternative instructions on how this can be performed.

  1. First ensure that the required Flexipay payroll directory is correct and that no other users are using the same directory. Then click on the menu File > Back up data.

  |

  1. You will then be prompted to enter a name for the backup.  In order to avoid any confusion with your existing backups, it is recommended that you enter a Mitrefinch related name such as ‘Mitrefinch’ then click on OK.

  1. The following information box will then be displayed to confirm the backup has completed, Click on OK to continue.

  1. The backup file will be saved in your normal backup directory.  If required the directory for backups can be confirmed within Flexipay by clicking on the menu System > Modify miscellaneous parameters then click on the Processing tab:

  |

  1. Once you can locate the backup file (*.BU file), it will should be securely uploaded via our website using the provided upload instructions.

Should any assistance be required with the above steps then email support@mitrefinch.co.uk
