The tick box on the book absence screen "use once only"
We have had a response from development as to what it does.
Please find the explanation below:
This was introduced as part of the current day anomalies functionality for current shift clockcards.
It should only used by customers in real edge cases whereby an employee’s absence is split for a shift:
E.g. An employee calls in sick for the first part of a shift, but then feels well enough to come into work later on, but then feels ill again later and goes home for the rest of the day.
It essentially tells the system to only count the absence for that day as one absence, not two separate absences, because technically the employee was only off once, they just happened to pop into work for a short period before going home again.
