How to send a push notification

In the sidebar menu of the Admin Panel, click "Push Notifications"

To send to your whole app database:
  1. Do not type anything in the "Filter" box.
  2. Do not select a league.
  3. Go directly to the "Subject" box. Enter a subject.
  4. Enter your message body text in the "Message" box.
  5. If you'd like the player to be taken to a specific URL when clicking the notification, enter it in the URL box. If left blank, your app will open to the News section and they will be able to read your full message.
  6. Enter URL to include a picture in the notification. This works better for Android, but will show a little icon (tiny image) on iOS.
  7. Schedule the notification if you'd like it to be sent later, otherwise:
  8. Click Send Push Notifications
TIP: Often the subject and message text will be cut off on the notification, particularly for iOS.  Keep your subject short!  If it's a long message, we recommend not linking to a URL, that way they can read the full message in the News section of your app. You can include the URL link in your message body and they can click it from the News section.

To send to a specific sport, league, team, etc.
  1. Type in the filter box. You can type a full program name, or if your name includes the sport name, you can filter and only display certain sports. i.e. type Kickball and it will filter and only show Kickball.
  2. Select a program/league, or multiple programs.
  3. Select specific teams if you'd like. If you DO NOT select a team, all teams in the program(s) will be targeted.
  4. Go directly to the "Subject" box. Enter a subject.
  5. Enter your message body text in the "Message" box.
  6. If you'd like the player to be taken to a specific URL when clicking the notification, enter it in the URL box. If left blank, your app will open to the News section and they will be able to read your full message.
  7. Enter URL to include a picture in the notification. This works better for Android, but will show a little icon (tiny image) on iOS.
  8. Schedule the notification if you'd like it to be sent later, otherwise:
  9. Click Send Push Notifications
See the TIP above.
