Enterprise - Unexpected Error in My Account

Database errors can occur in Enterprise when user barcodes are recycled. Upon attempting to login, the patron will encounter the following message:

Unexpected Error
The system encountered an error while processing the following request:
/client/en_US/LIBRARY/search/patronlogin.loginpageform/LIBRARY
Error Summary
could not execute statement; SQL [n/a]; constraint

Because the user barcode was originally associated with a different user key, the patron encounters an Enterprise database error. This occurs most frequently when a patron's library card has been removed but is subsequently re-added.

For example, a patron's card is purged due to inactivity. If the patron visits the library with their old card in hand, the card cannot be found in the system. Library staff registers the patron using the old card number. Despite being the same person, the barcode is now attached to a different user key in the Symphony database. Enterprise still associates that barcode with the old user key. The patron will not be able to login to Enterprise until the old entry is resolved.

If you encounter the above error, please open a ticket with the patron's card number so that a database administrator can update the user key.
