            Chromebook Care & Digital Safety

Follow these tips for caring for the Chromebook

            • Always keep the Chromebook in its protective case. It is meant to be ‘always-on’.
            • Do not add any stickers or any other decorative items that would alter the appearance of the Chromebook from when you received it.
            • Do not tamper with school tags that are present on the Chromebooks.
            • Use both hands when opening the Chromebooks.
            • Keep food and drink away from your Chromebook.
            • Do not use any chemicals or other liquids to clean your Chromebook.
            • Use microfiber cloth to wipe down the screen.
            • Do not share your Chromebook with any other students, friends or family members.
            • If your Chromebook is lost or destroyed, the cost to replace it is $250.

            Understand Digital Safety

            • Do not share your password with any other students.
            • All Chromebook use is monitored. In addition to specific sites (and categories of sites) being whitelisted/blacklisted, the filter is continuously scanning any website content and will alert the school administration if the site contains material that violates our school computer use policy.
            • If you encounter a website or video that is blocked that you need for a class, contact your teacher or the Tech Director.
