Create or Add Assets to a Preventive Maintenance Record from GIS

Select GIS assets from the map and create a new preventive maintenance (PM) record with those assets attached, or add the selected assets to an existing PM. First, learn how to select assets using one of our selection tools by visiting our article Select Assets on the Map. 

 

Create a New PM

  1. Select desired asset(s). 
  2. Selected assets are listed in the right side menu. Confirm selection is correct. Delete any assets selected by mistake. If you are not seeing this menu, click the "Assets" tab on the right side of the screen to pull out the menu.
  3. Click Add New at the top of the right side menu.

  5. A new PM record will be generated with the selected asset(s) already attached in the Assets zone of the PM.
  6. Fill out the PM details and Save. 

 

 

Add Assets to an Existing PM

  1. Select desired asset(s). 
  2. Selected assets are listed in the right side menu. Confirm selection is correct. Delete any assets selected by mistake. If you are not seeing this menu, click the "Assets" tab on the right side of the screen to pull out the menu.
  3. Click Add To Existing at the top of the right side menu.

  5. Find the desired PM by searching or filtering. 
  6. Select the PM by checking the box. 
  7. Click Attach. 
  8. Click Attach again to confirm.
