Not Accepted Continuing Education

You can use a variety of options for continuing education.  However, not all forms of continuing education are accepted towards your recertification requirements. 

The following cannot be applied toward recertification requirements: 
  1. Duplicate Courses
  2. Clinical rotations
  3. Instructor courses (teach the teacher types of courses) 
  4. Management or Leadership courses 
  5. Performance of duty
  6. Preceptor hours 
  7. Serving as a skills examiner
  8. Volunteer time with agencies. 
  9. Unused continuing education hours from previous recertification cycle 
  10. Continuing education completed before you gained full certification
