How can I manage backing tracks or backgrounds imported into OnSong?

The OnSong Media Library is split into two editors which let you manage the media specific to their type.

Audio Media Library
The Audio Media Library can be accessed by tapping on the gear icon in the Menubar to open the Utilities Menu.  Next, tap on Editors and then Audio Media Library.  This interface gives you access media used as backing tracks in supported audio file formats. MIDI files can also be imported into the Audio Media Library and played back as a backing track. OnSong can send the MIDI information to a software or hardware synthesizer, or play the MIDI files using the standard MIDI programs in iOS.  You can learn more about playing back MIDI tracks in our MIDI Playback Video Tutorial.

Background Media Library
Visual assets that are used for Lyrics Projection are managed in the Background Media Library.  You can access this by tapping on the gear icon in the Menubar to open the Utilities Menu.  Next, tap on Editors and then Background Media Library.  This interface allows you to pick media in your library in the first tab while using the other two tabs to buy media from the OnSong Media Store, or import background images and video from a website using the Web Browser.  You can learn more about assigning background media for lyrics projection in our Lyrics Projection Video Tutorial as well as our Scenes Video Tutorial used for assigning custom background styles to specific songs and sections.

Media files can take up a lot of space on your device.  You will want to use compressed file formats for best performance and easy storage management.  Media files are backed up when you manually or automatically backup your OnSong library.  You can disable backing up media to minimize the impact on your file storage.  To do this, tap on the gear icon in the Menubar to open the Utilities Menu.  Open Settings and then choose Advanced.  You can then disable the Backup Media Files switch.  This will prevent media files from being stored in your backup file, but you will need to manually import those assets after restoring the backup.
