Using the Work Order Builder

Using the Work Order Builder

The Work Order Builder allows you to:

  • Create, close, and sell a work order all from one screen almost simultaneously, or
  • Quickly create a work order that will remain open

1. Bring the customer up in Point of Sale.

2. Click the Work Order icon beneath their customer profile, then select the Work Order Builder button.

  • NOTE: If you have not previously used the Work Order Builder and it seems that nothing happens when clicking the button, check Chrome's address bar on the far right for a warning about a blocked popup. Click this to choose "Always Allow" then try the Work Order Builder again.

3. Select the service to be performed in the first column, the item to be serviced in the second, then click the arrow to add it to column 3, "Summary." Continue until all items are added to the work order and then click DONE.

4. You now have three options:

  • Send to WO Form, which will bring up the complete/detailed work order page including any custom work order forms or checklists.
  • Create Work Order, which will save the work order as open and print a claim check.
  • Sell Work Order, which will charge the customer the full balance due while marking the work order as done and closed.
