SQL Timeout Exception in PTF
This can happen sometimes when you overload the software with too many pairs, or try to backtest too many stocks at once and/or have too many other programs/browser windows open simultaneously. Due to the amount of data PTF is crunching it's best to keep the amount of pairs on your homepage under 300, and only backtest 30 or less stocks at once, which is ideal anyway because you only want to trade highly similar pairs of stocks that come from the same industry, so large backtests, large amounts of saved pairs in conjunction with other software running on your PC, also depending on your PC and internet strength can cause the system to overload and shut down. Some traders purchase a powerful VPS that is solely dedicated to running PTF for optimum performance. If you need further assistance on this, please reach our customer support at email@example.com
