Adding a local collection for a database

Why you might need or want to do this: 

  1. You need to add a local collection because the collection does not exist in the CZ. 

How to do this: 

  1. Open the Resources menu.
  2. Select "Add Local Electronic collection." 
  3. Alma will open the Electronic Collection Editor. Fill in the information.
  4. Select the Collection Type of "Database." 
  5. Click "Save and Continue." 
  6. Alma will open the Electronic Collection Editor. There will be a pop-up confirmation message that Alma created the collection successfully. This message is misleading. You must click "Save" as instructed in Step 7 for Alma to create and save the collection.
  7. Click "Save." You can make changes to the collection record before doing so.
