Options for Suppressing a Collection

Please remember that these recommendations are general guidelines. You need to evaluate each collection as you work with it.

Option A: Set the CDI search activation status to Not Active / Deactivate for search in CDI

Also, suppress the collection-level bibliographic record

Option B: "Remove CDI-only full text activation" if enabled
"Add CDI-only full text activation: to the collection if possible. Then, suppress the collection-level bibliographic record.

  1. Suppressing Bibliographic Records is not recommended as the bib might be shared by other collections 
  2. Deactivating the service will remove the links from Primo 
  3. Deactivating individual portfolios will remove the service link from Primo 
  4. If you really do not want the collection, you should delete it 
Utilize "Do not show as full Text available in CDI even if active in Alma" setting

  5. Note: you might need to leave titles activated for CDI to work correctly 
If you have no portfolios or a service: Set the CDI search activation status to Not Active / Deactivate for search in CDI 

If you have portfolios and  a service:  
  1. Set the CDI search activation status to Not Active / Deactivate for search in CDI 
  2. Check “Do not show as full-text available in CDI even if active in Alma” 

If you only want to show records for activated portfolios: choose “Yes” for “We subscribe to only some titles in this collection” 
“Add CDI-only full text activation” to the collection if an option 

Then suppress the appropriate Alma records
