How to download the Kewtech KT77, KT75 and KT74 data to PATorganiser

How to download the Kewtech KT77, KT75 & KT74 data to PATorganiser using a USB-PC Cable

This guide will take you through the steps to download your data from the Kewtech KT77, KT75 & KT74 into PATorganiser software via USB cable.

Before you attempt to download any data to PATorganiser ensure you have installed "pat connect" to your computer/tablet first.

And before going any further...
Please make sure your Kewtech PAT tester is connected to your computer using the supplied cable (only use the cable that came with your PAT tester).

Downloading the Kewtech KT75 & KT74

At power-on the KT75 & KT74 runs through a self test procedure which displays in turn the data download configuration to which the tester is set, the input voltage that is selected and whether or not it is running in expert mode.
Observe the display immediately after power is applied to see which download mode is set.
PATorganiser uses the "PATMANAGER" format and the current setting should show as below.
"Configured for PATMANAGER"

If the KT75 & KT74 download format is not set to PATMANAGER it will need to be changed. To do this press the RESET button to ensure that the following screen is displayed.  
"Select a FUNCTION or use the HELP key."

Next press the PROG button then repeatedly press the NO button until the option to select the download format is displayed is shown
"Configure DOWNLOAD?"

Press the YES key. If the screen below is not displayed press the NO button until it is.
"Configure for PATMANAGER?"

Press the YES button and the tester will display as below.
"Configured for PATMANAGER"

Now press the RESET button to return to the initial screen once more.
Once the download format is selected the data can be downloaded. First press the RESULT button then press NO until the following screen is displayed.  
"Download records to computer?"

Press the YES button and the tester will display as below.
"Start at record?  . . . .1."

Here, the first record of the batch to be downloaded is entered by using the numeric keys then pressing YES.
Press the YES button and the tester will display as below.
"End at record? . . . . 81.

If the start and end values are incorrect press the NO key to re-enter them. Otherwise confirm the selection by pressing YES.
Press the YES button and the tester will display as below.
"Press (GO) to Start."

Finally, Press the GO button on the Kewtech KT75 & KT74 and the selected records will be downloaded to PATorganiser.
