Updating Files for Mastercam 2019 (Migration Wizard)

There is a tool to update files to the nest version of Mastercam. You don't need to Migrate everything, and doing a "Basic Migration" may cause problems depending on how Mastercam was setup and configured. Using the "Advanced Migration" option will stream line what you need, and is the recommended way to transition.

First you need to activate the "Migration Wizard" by going through "File" down to "Convert" then selecting "Migration Wizard"

Once the "Migration Wizard" starts, select "Advanced" and on the next page, make sure the "Source folder is correct", then make sure the "Destination Folder" is also correct, then click on "Next"

Click in the box next to "File Types" to unselect everything, then select the desired file types, shown are the file types for migrating the post processors. I recommend doing the post processor by first, the migrating the rest of the desired files.

Under "Versions" leave all versions active, in case there was an old file in the newer directory, and it won't erase or overwrite the old files.

The last page is a break down of what will be migrated, if everything looks correct, click "Finish"
