How to Access/Reset Copiers

Configuring Job Handling Code for Sharp Copier



   The settings below must be done only after YOU have logged into the computer with account credentials, else you will be unable to perform this task successful. Please follow the steps to configure your preferences for the copier. The copier will not allow you to print if you do not perform these steps accurately.

  1. Click on the Windows A picture containing building

  2. Select "Devices and Printers" or “Printers”.

  1. Right‐Click once on the copier B-Color A close up of a device

Description automatically generatedand select "Set as default printer" . A message will appear, click "Ok"

  2. Select "Printing Preferences" using one of the following instructions

    1. Right‐Click once again on the copier and select "Printing Preferences". 
      -- OR --

    2. In the left panel, left-click once on Printers & scanners. Left-click once on the printer and click on Manage

      B-Color Model: Sharp MX-6500N 
      (Riverside)DS-Color
      Riverside Model: Sharp MX‐6240N
      (Riverside)US-Color
      Riverside Model: Sharp MX‐6580

  3. Locate the "Job Handling" tab at the top

  4. Locate and check the “Auto Job Control Reviewbox

  5. Locate and check the "User Number" box and enter in the default code of “111111” or the print code that is assigned to the department or county you are printing documents for. NOTE: For A-Black, choose User Number under Authentication to enable the User Number text box.

  6. Once you have entered your code, click "OK".

  7. Repeat steps 4-8 for the remaining printers. NOTE: The Job Handling window looks different on copier A‐Black from copiers B‐Color, and Riverside.


Reasons for performing the following task

  • You are printing for the first time to copiers in San Diego and/or Riverside

  • The Job Handling box to the right does not show up or nothing is coming out of the copier.

  • The Print job was at one point visible on the Copier display but the copier does not print the job.

  • Your computer or computer login account has been changed.

  • The copier has been replaced.
