Adding ALEKS to your Canvas class (faculty)

If your Canvas class does not have an ALEKS module with the ALEKS tool, you will need to add the ALEKS tool to your Canvas class.

Add a New Module for ALEKS

Click the +Module button.


Enter a name for the module [1] and click Add Module button [2].

The ALEKS module will now appear in Canvas.


Add the ALEKS tool to the ALEKS module

Click the  + button.


Click the drop-down menu [1] and choose External Tool [2], and click the Add Item button.


Select MH Campus/ALEKS Math [1] in the list of tools and click Add Item [2}.

The ALEKS tool will now appear in the ALEKS module.


Publish the ALEKS module


Click the publish buttons for both the module and the ALEKS tool.

You are now ready to pair your ALEKS class with your Canvas class. Detailed instructions can be found at
